Canasta FAQI have downloaded an update of the program, but when I start it the program still shows the old version number? Make sure you run the freshly downloaded installer, not an old copy of the installer that may still be on your computer. Also make sure you really start the freshly installed version, not a previously installed version. I have bought a license key, but I can't find where to enter it. Follow these instructions to obtain the full registered version of Canasta:
My license key doesn't work. Can you help me? Please note that you have to enter the license name and key exactly as given in your license message, with the same spacing and case. If I pay for the program now, how long will it take before I receive my license key? This depends on the payment method you use. If you order online with your credit card through SWREG, you will have your key within a few minutes. When ordering through RegNow or PayPal, it make take up to a day, but usually only a few hours. Cash, cheque or money transfer payments will take longer, up to 1 or 2 weeks. See the Buy Now page for details (choose "Buy" from the menu on the left). I've lost my registration key. Do I need to pay again? No, you don't. Use the License Key Request Form to ask for a resend of your key. You can get there by clicking "Support" in the menu on the left. Is there a four-player version of Canasta? Sorry, no. There are currently no plans to create a four-player version. I think the computer gets too many good cards. Does the game cheat? The cards are dealt completely randomly, this is not influenced by the score or any other factor. If the computer has good cards, it really is pure luck. The rules are different from what I am used to. Can you change them? You can change most rules yourself by selecting Options\Rules from the menu bar. Note that you cannot do this while a game is in progress, so press F2 to start a new game first. |
